UChicago Space Program

A SEDS Chapter

We are The University of Chicago’s premier undergraduate aerospace organization, dedicated to promoting space education and engineering both within the University and beyond. As a chapter of the Students for the Exploration and Development of Space (SEDS), we believe that providing students with an opportunity to work on interdisciplinary, hands-on, and team-based projects is key to fostering the development of future leaders in and around the space industry.

UCW Campus STEAM Carnival

On April 18th, members of UCSP hosted a booth at the Woodlawn Campus of the University of Chicago Charter Schools. There, we presented and engaged with 6th-12th grade students about the various aspects of PULSE-A’s mission, engaging with students to familiarize and inspire them towards considering STEAM education.

UChicago Research Symposium

Two groups of PULSE-A members presented at the 2024 Undergraduate Research Symposium hosted by the UChicago College Center for Research and Fellowships. Seth Knights, Vincent Redwine, and Graydon Schulze-Kalt, presented on the Optical Payload and the mission ConOps. Logan Hanssler, Juan Prieto, and Alex Dennis, presented on the Optical Ground Station.
